Of Schoolyard Bullies:-and; how to fettle 'em.
There is only one way (in reality). However, in this 'enlightened' day and age, the noble art of thumping seven bells out of 'em is frowned upon. Shame really; nevertheless; there are 'other' options' which are more acceptable to genteel society. One of the most brilliant facets of Australian life is the diversity of 'culture'. In almost any field, one can be friends or work with folk from all over the planet; from a Greek wedding to an Afghan party; to a Jewish Bar Mitzvah; to a Sikh birthday or a Sunday BBQ with the local builder. In a lifetime one may be friends or workmates with almost all of mankind's peoples. It is bloody marvelous, with freedom of choice the sauce of choice. Or, it used to be until quite recently. Who ever penned the phrase 'the good, the bad and the ugly' pretty much nailed the way the world works. The ugly is not often seen in public, let alone during the solemn opening days of the parliament. But, we did, blasted across all the media outlets and internet portals; for all the world to see.
“What really mattered, Alex supposed, was not how the world saw you, but how you saw yourself, and whether you and the people around you treated one another with respect.”
Sen. Wong has, for many years been (IMO) an ugly blot on the political landscape; while neatly avoiding, through 'top-cover', the 'ugly side' of intent and preferences being displayed. But; there, in the very parliament, it was all on display, full throttle. Now; Sen. Price is a hero in this land; one us - an Australian; through and through; ridgy didge - true blue. To belittle and dismiss the Price words: honest, grounded in accurate, accumulated, experienced knowledge words, backed by real values and the best intentions, in the manner Wong selected was a very, very bad Blue, a serious error.
“Errors were doubtless committed on all sides, delusions set on foot which there was not time to dissipate and means, designed for good ends, perverted to bad purposes.”
Then, the 'real' Australia kicked in; Sen. Hanson at scrum half, aided and abetted by the remarkable Cash at prop forward, supported on the wing by the inimitable; McKenzie; the ladies took the day. There has not been a better representation of the real Australia in many a long day. It is past time for this land to 'straighten up and fly right'.
“Therefore the best fortress is to be found in the love of the people, for although you may have fortresses they will not save you if you are hated by the people.”
It may have gone 'unnoticed' by the great Albo Blowhard; but this nation is headed for the knackers yard, while he poodles about, embarrassing this once proud nation, filling his coffers while the homeless watch on. Shame on the whole sorry lot. My ferry boat awaits his arrival, I hope he brings some of his mates with him. We can have a party; underworld style. Maybe even a poem or two:-
"I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains,
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel sea,
Her beauty and her terror -
The wide brown land for me."
Aye, I know, politics is well out of our stamping ground; but, Wong was disgusting; Hanson a straight arrow; Price truthful and Cash, brilliant in defence. Bravo ladies, Bravissimo: and, thank you!

My apologies for dabbling in 'politics' but man, the 'problems this nation has are directly linked to the attitude of Wong, Albo, King and the rest of the inutile Labor trough hogging rabble. Now, I do need an Ale and time out with the dogs. For sanguine I ain't.
