Hope springs eternal but considering the destruction of General Aviation by government neglect has been evident for some thirty years then hope is tempered by reality.
Words are cheap, we wait for specific policies that have some hope of translation into action.
Action with positive consequences would be far more likely if the Liberal party decided that aviation will administered by a Minister through a regular Department of government in line with the Westminster principle of democratic responsibility.
A simple and practical principle that keeps governance as close as possible to the voting citizen and keeps our representatives responsible for the actions of government.
