All passing strange K. Why the widow?
In the lexicon of lawyers imperatives the prime objective is always MONEY and mainly what's in it
for us. Its therefore strange that they should go after a grieving wife rather than the big end of town.
As I understand it, the pilots estate they want to rape, is fairly barren in the old asset
department. There is a house I understand, don't know if it has a mortgage or not but
I'm told the widow owns a fair percentage of it. I imagine they could sell that out from under her,
and after a forced sale, with all the other scumbags waiting in line for their pound of flesh
there would be precious little left for her.
So she would become a victim of her husbands folly, if indeed there was a "Folly" in the first place.
It is apparent that the returns would be pretty small pickings for the vultures of the legal profession
and the aggrieved hope of a substantive pay out.
One could be forgiven for imagining the whole law suit is more about vindictive revenge on the part
of the aggrieved rather than a serious attempt for compensation, which as I understand it they hardly need,
they were all rather well heeled families. But the American psych is a strange thing, who else could dream up
such perverse ways of killing their own citizens enacted with monotonous regularity in macabre theatre
in jails around their country.
The pilot is dead, they can't sit and watch his death throw's through a window in the slaughter house,
but they can sit in a court with their knitting on their lap at watch as the widows life is torn to shreds by rapacious lawyers.
The big problem I have with all this is the ATSB report. Not a single shred of hard evidence proving the pilot
"Dunnit", just supposition and innuendo. The ATSB is not supposed to apportion blame, yet here stands the
yellow canary, Hood categorically stating the guilty party is the pilot, no question. Beggars belief.
